OUR BEERS

ZUMMA DACH Mexican Cream Ale with "Cactya"

zumma dach (summer day) evokes the feeling of a hot day in Manitoba, and even hotter in Chihuahua - where some Mennonites settled in Mexico. This beer is light-bodied and easy-drinking, brewed with corn, citrus-forward hops, and cactya (soursop), a native Mexican fruit with citrus and mild tropical candy-like flavours. Perfect for sunny days, social occasions, or a shower beer after a hard day’s work.

BEEREN PFLÜCKER Saskatoon Pale Ale

Every Mennonite village needs a few helpful beeren pflückers (berry pickers)! In late June, when the saskatoon berries are ripe, it’s all pflückers on deck! Enjoy the taste of a Manitoba berry harvest in our saskatoon pale ale, brewed with Loral hops and loads of handpicked saskatoons and wild berries.

FRINTSHAUFT ZITZUNG Session IPA

Nothing says frintshauft zitzung (a social hangout/sitdown with relatives and friends) like sharing some easy-drinking IPAs with the cousins between harvest loads while Onkel Jakob isn’t looking. Some mild maltiness and grassy stone fruit hop flavours make this session IPA something you’ll want to keep going back to, even against Tante Martha’s wishes.

BROMMTOPP BRAUN Honey Brown Ale

The Brommtopp was a drum-like instrument made from a barrel with skin stretched over the top. A horsehair whisk was used to play the drum. It was historically played by Mennonite men, probably from the Braun (pronounced “brown” if you’re traditional) family, often in wild costumes while performing for dessert and beer - if the elders weren’t watching! This brown ale is smooth with light malty, caramel, and honey notes, made with local honey from the neighbouring Shultz Honey Farm.

MENNO LIGHT Easy-drinking Lager

Light, crisp, and easier to swallow than a sermon on modesty. Menno light won’t make you Mennonite, but after a can or two, suspenders might start to seem practical, and you’ll begin to wonder how to grow cucumbers in your condo.

SEASONAL & SPECIALTY BREWS

Small batch craft brews, brewed seasonally or on a one-time basis. So when they’re gone, they’re gone! Available EXCLUSIVELY at the brewery.
